		New EGMS REPA (Report of External Professional Activities) Features for the Fall of 2003 Filing Period   The following new features will be released prior to the fall 2003 REPA filing period: Reporting year of 2002-2003 automatically assigned on the REPA Select Reporting Period screen.   This feature saves the user from having to choose the appropriate reporting period from a list of reporting periods.   List of possible departmental approvers on the REPA Select Approver screen narrowed to display only those approvers with department head, chair, or director type appointments.     This features directs the user more quickly and accurately to the appropriate departmental approver.   REPA approval date added as a new data element on the REPA View Requests reports.     For a staff member completing a Proposal Routing Form for a Principal Investigator, this features provides quick access to information sometimes needed for Question 14.   REPA form status (Pending, Approved, Returned) added as a new parameter for narrowing searches on the REPA View Requests screen.     This feature provides staff a method to easily track Pending or Returned forms that may require administrative follow-up.   Help tip added to the REPA Outside Consulting screen to advise part-time employees to prorate reporting of their time spent on external activities.   Hint text added to the OK/Deny Requests screen to remind approvers about the availability of the REPA form batch approval ('REPABATCH') feature within EGMS.   For additional information about REPA form filing, tracking, or compliance, contact the REPA helpline at repa@egms.umn.edu .
